What a beautiful! We had a wonderful stay at Searenity. Herb was a wonderful host, and genuinely wants his guest to have a great stay. He was on hand if needed, but we felt able to enjoy the space to ourselves. The house was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fantastic, when we were travelling from the other side of the world. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful place.

We loved our stay at Sam’s place. Island Beach is absolutely stunning, so peaceful and quiet and private, but close enough to Penneshaw and activities to keep us amused. Authenticity Beachhouse was so well situated, with great sea views, and had heaps of space and amenities perfect for our family of four…with an extra room to spare. Sam has thought of everything, and we loved all of the little extras he provided that helped make our holiday more fun - boogie boards, snorkel equipment, beach chairs and tent, lots of outdoor and indoor seating, plus the Hamptons style decor was so lovely. Thanks for a really lovely stay Sam. Our kids have already asked when we are coming back to visit again!

Kevin's home was exceptionally comfortable, clean, well-presented and roomy. The amenities were first rate. We found the location well positioned on the island being 15 minutes from Kingscote and approximately 30 minutes from Penneshaw. We all readily settled in, so much so, that my friends, who were all visiting from Sydney, told me that they didn't want to leave. Bottom line, we thoroughly enjoyed our seven day stay.

We loved having both a sea view and a river view from the house, and being able to walk straight onto the beach from the back gate. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Congratulations, if you are reading this review you have the chance to stay in one of the most special places on earth and you should not miss this opportunity. We are a family of 5 traveling the globe for a year and our last 5 nights at Stokes Bay Cliffs have been some of the most invigorating, inspiring, and delightful of our trip. Whether the view from the porch has you more enchanted by the wildlife or the sea, you will surely find yourself in the best frame of mind and grateful to be here, now. Kayak along the shore, hike the property, visit the local beaches, it doesn't matter how you spend your time, you will not be disappointed. I would add that if you are still deciding to come to KI or elsewhere, this place in and of itself should make the decision for you. Our cups are full and we are most grateful to the owners and hosts for this memorable stay.

Very well designed living space with excellent facilities makes this a wonderful place to stay for as many days as you can manage. Helpful and rapid communication from Jayne, who is an active volunteer for a variety of local activities and therefore very knowledgeable and happy to share her justifiable enthusiasm for the island. The little museum in the old school nearby is well worth an hour of your time. Pristine swimming beach (it's shallow for a long way out) on your doorstep for those pre-breakfast dips. At the time of writing, work is taking place improving the ferry terminal, but doesn't much interfere with the peace and quiet. Large cruise ships are frequent visitors for 1 day. Highly recommended.

Great house for a group of people. Bedrooms were a good size, big fenced yard to play in and a very equipped kitchen. Having to bring linen is a bit of a pain but otherwise a great house. Beautiful location, we saw kangaroos and echidnas from the balcony. We would book again.

Thanks Narelle for hosting us. This is easily one of the best places we stayed. The house was incredible, very well equipped and very clean and tidy. We loved the outdoor decking area overlooking the greening. Amazing setting with easy access to the beach and other facilities. Would love to go back there and couldn't recommend it more. Banksia Dunes was a stunning place and exactly like the pictures. The house was very clean and had everything we could have asked for. The board games were a nice touch and offered extra entertainment. The shower was perfect and the beds were very comfy. The host (Corey) was friendly and easy to reach. I would love to stay here again I. The future.

We had a lovely few days at Villa 66! The accomodation was clean, spacious, had all the facilities we required, and more! The host was friendly and responsive. The kids are looking forward to returning soon.

House was beautiful, super clean and felt very homey. Had everything we needed and was super close to the beach. Marnie was great to communicate with.

Beautiful villa with lots of space for a joint family holiday. Great games room for the kids with extra futon beds. Big open deck and open plan lounge and kitchen area with lots of natural light. Onsite pool is fantastic and heated. Nice natural grounds and surroundings. Short walk 1.2km along beach to Normanville. Would definitely stay again.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Cara. The house was a lovely comfortable space, and had everything we needed plus more, including table tennis table, beach gear, bikes, games, dvds... Amenities were great, exactly as described. The air con worked very well on the super hot days, and at night we opened the windows for a nice breeze. We could hear the ocean at night. The location is perfect, an easy walk to the beach. Also a short drive to the shops in Normanville or Yankalilla, and Normanville is also a good walk along the beach. We also walked to the pizza place Side Hustle, but had to book the pizzas in the morning as they sell out early! James and Kate were excellent hosts, and provided clear and helpful information. Highly recommend.

Eva's place was nice and modern. The selection of amenities was nice and the location is very convenient to walk around the town of Kingscote.

We loved our stay at Liam’s place! The location was perfect, just a short walk to a stunning and family-friendly beach. The house was great for our young family, with a large well equipped kitchen and a lovely outdoor deck. We enjoyed the beautiful natural surroundings and daily visits from wallabies, which the kids loved. Liam was very responsive, friendly and helpful with recommendations. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We highly recommend the „Cheeky Wren“ and are already planning our next visit to Kangaroo Island.

A beautiful, warm and stylish home for our beachside getaway as a family. We were impressed by the kitchen facilities, appliances and cooking supplies. Simon was a fantastic host who communicated well and was more than happy to adjust check-in and check-out times for us. The house has a great feel to it and we are already looking forward to returning sometime soon.

Our family of six adults and two children had a wonderful week in Copperstone in early December 2024. The house is modern, clean and comfortable and has air conditioning, which is needed, especially in the warmer months. The kitchen is well appointed, and the beds are comfortable. We were privileged to experience Kangaroos in the front garden and Koalas in the back garden. As there are no places to purchase provisions in Emu Bay, we would have appreciated a welcome package/gift to include the basic necessities including bread, cereal etc. The nearest supermarket is Drakes in Kingscote, where you can purchase general groceries, meat, poultry, fruit and vegetables. There is a well-stocked bottle-shop in the next street. These facilities are approximately 15 minutes by car (4 wheel recommended) from the house. I recommend this property which overlooks beautiful Emu Bay and is well located. We left feeling that we all had a unique experience and were rejuvenated.

Nice place, right next to the beach and close to ferry terminal, IGA, and coffee shop. The house is spacious, has good books for kids, kitchen has amenities more than one could ask for.

We had the most wonderful stay at Melissa's beach shack in Carrickalinga. The house was wonderful for two families, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was absolutely perfect—just a short stroll to one of South Australia's most stunning beaches. Melissa was a fantastic host, with great communication and thoughtful touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beach escape!
