We had an amazing stay at this cozy Airbnb overlooking the Currituck Sound! The location near the heart of Duck is hard to beat, with easy access to fantastic shops, restaurants, and local coffee shops. The views over the sound are stunning, and the peaceful setting made it a truly relaxing getaway for this time of year. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we were set for a smooth check-in. 10/10 would recommend!

This listing is exactly what you see and is perfect for one or two people. I loved the decor, it was very quiet, and the walk to the beach is 5 minutes on the nose (I timed it). I had a few questions and the hosts were very friendly with a fast response time. I loved the outdoor shower to rinse all the sand off. I would stay again and highly recommend.

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

The house was very cozy and had plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out. We felt very relaxed there and really enjoyed our stay. Easy to get places as well and close to restaurants and other activities.

Second year in a row renting the house, which was very clean on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower, pool, hot tub, etc. Beach access is only two houses down and there is a designated walkway for you to cross. Low tide is great for surfing with 2 sand bars. The main road is busy, but doesn't bother you while enjoying the pool or decks. The house has everything you need for cooking, grilling, playing in the pool and going to the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for kids, a cooler, and beach buggy to carry it all to the beach, which is a small upgrade made by the owners. Staying there two years in a row we have noticed the owners care and have done small upgrades, which is appreciated b/c we have rented houses where you can tell upgrades have not been made in years. Kitty Hawk pier is within walking distance. The pictures represent what you will get in the house and are true. Mary and Andy were great with communication and we look to rent the place again.

The cottage was just the right size and loved that it was so close to the beach. It was perfect for the quick getaway that we were doing. The towels and linens were great, but could use some better pillows. Whitney was very responsive and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

Had a great time , steps from beach, the pool was super nice!!! Was offered hotdogs, cheeseburgers, and watermelon for 4th of July at no additional cost for everyone staying in cottages. AC worked great!!! It was record breaking heat and we where more than comfortable!!!

Everything was as expected. The beach access is a short walk across the beach and easy access to restaurants. The place is all that you’d need and was nice.

Daniel did a great job communicating with us. The house was clean and as advertised. He gave us a nice complimentary gift of wine glasses and a free dozen bagels at a local bakery during our stay. He was great to work with and really enjoy the stay and overall experience. Really appreciate all the hard work and extra touches that Daniel put into making our stay so nice.

This place is AMAZING! The home was spacious and perfect for big families. The yard, pool, and hot tub were fantastic, as were all of the very thoughtful amenities like kitchen gadgets, plenty of dinnerware, pots, pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls, coffee & tea supplies, beach bikes & beach supplies, ping pong, and anything else you might need to make a great trip. The great room area is perfect for gathering and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and very comfy. Close to the beach, and lots to do close-by. The hosts were very responsive and super helpful. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!

I can't say enough about Carrie's place... It was perfect for what we were looking for. There were still some Christmas decor remnants that made it even more cozy and special. The place is beautifully decorated and feels like home. Location was private and in an area that isn't TOO commercial, but still close enough to some great places that are walkable, including fine dining, great breakfast, golf... Oh, and the beach! Going to try to figure out when we can get back in slightly warmer weather... Looking forward to a re-visit!!! Thank you Carrie. 😊

This was the perfect first vacation to take with our baby! We had such an amazing time. The house was fully stocked with essentials, everyone had their our own bathroom, the location and short walk to the beach was so nice! It was such an amazing value, just all around, perfect. We had a very memorable vacation and everyone kept talking about how much they want to come back and how great of a pick the house was ! HIGHLY recommend!!! :)

We had a wonderful time staying at this rental. Patrick was extremely responsive. the rental was even bigger than the pictures make it look and we had no problems with space. The unit was clean and had all the amenities we needed. To go along with everything else the unit is perfect distance to the beach. would absolutely recommend this property.

This was exactly what we hoped for. The location was excellent, bathrooms with every bedroom made life very easy and the house was immaculate. Our communication was simple, with quick responses to our questions. We could not have had a more wonderful Christmas.

This is a fantastic unit for a couple (or best friends!) retreat. The location is perfect - directly across the street from beach entrance, walking distance to great coffee shops, local ice cream, surf shops, brewery, food, convenience stores, and more! I liked the house was at the end of a cul-de-sac so no traffic on the street. The host is very friendly and responsive with great directions. Check in/out was hassle free. I will definitely be coming back for a long weekend getaway!

I was beyond impressed with this property, attention to detail is obvious in every room. This home is beautiful and comfortable all at the same time. The kitchen is well stocked with anything needed to make you feel like you are right at home and ready to make a large family dinner. All of the outdoor spaces are comfortable and inviting and the views are gorgeous.

With our fairly large group of adults and children of various ranges it was fantastic! It was so easy walking to and from the beach everyday! Close to so many things that we ran out of time trying to get to them all! Even with the busyness of the main road being so close, it felt really private. Would definitely book here again!

Property updated and as described in listing. Very convenient location in the heart of Kitty Hawk, close to the pier. House was well-appointed with everything needed from the kitchen, to the bathrooms, to the bedrooms.

Shelly’s place is fantastic! A great location and set up. It’s small but she really maximizes the space and it’s decorated so nicely. The location can’t be beat. It’s a quick easy walk to the beach.

We had a great stay. The fenced in back yard was wonderful with our dogs and was a peaceful place to sip our morning coffee.

My stepfather had this beach cottage built in 1958. My stepsiblings sold it about 2001. Almost 20 years later, Beverly bought it and has tastefully and lovingly restored it while maintaining the original charm. Although I loved the original notty pine walls, they had been painted throughout which made the cottage seem bigger to me. The refigured bathroom has a shower/tub combo. We only had a tiny shower so I enjoyed a soak in the tub after biking the trail to the Wright Brothers Monument. All 5 nights I slept very well. I enjoyed morning coffee in the sunny front porch and cooked in a fully equipped kitchen. I am not being biased when I say I highly recommend Hip Nautique. When you have the option of this cottage in a great location with such a lovely, thoughtful, experienced host ready to help you in any way, why would you stay anywhere else?
