Llanddwyn, the island of lovers, gorgeous sandy beach, views over Snowdonia, watch the tide so that you don't get caught on the Island.
Breathtaking place to go and enjoy lovely sandy beaches, at the end of the most wonderful beach you are rewarded with a beautiful Lighthouse. one of my go to spots every year :)
In my opinion the best beach in the UK. Just imagine walking through sand dunes to discover miles of golden sand, framed to the left by the majestic mountains of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula. To the right, and cut off at high tide, an enchanted island said to be the home of Saint Dwynwen, the Welsh Patron Saint of Lovers. Behind you, Newborough Reserve offers miles of forest trails, teeming with wildlife including red squirrels. Biking, running, walking, swimming, Kite/wind surfing. The Sandman triathlon is held here every September. I cannot rate this place enough. A great day out for all the family no matter what age. An excellent place for young children staring out on their pedal bikes with no traffic. If its raining in Llanberis then this is the place to go, you won't be disappointed.
